Physical Therapy
The Center for Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine is a physician owned physical therapy clinic specializing in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. What sets the facility apart is its commitment to the community and being a place where patients come first. Being dedicated to excellence and high quality of care, the Center provides a dynamic and proactive staff, a comprehensive and functional approach, and state of the art equipment.
During a patient's first visit the physical therapist will examine the patient's medical history and current complaints and will select tests and measures to perform based on the patient's impairment. An individualized program will then be created according to the findings. Treatment may or may not start during the initial session, depending on the patient's level of pain and reactivity. Time ill be provided for questions and answers concerning the patient's condition and prognosis. For a complete evaluation, easy access to the affected area is vital thus appropriate dress is necessary.
The patient is expected to participate fully in their treatment to enhance function and speed healing. They can do this by attending their treatments regularly, adhering to their home exercise program, having a healthy diet, and getting sufficient rest and sleep. Open communication with the physical therapist is also a vital part of the process to returning to their previous level of function and activity.
